Board of Trustees Meeting
May 11, 2026
The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in the Foundation Room at the library on Monday, May 11, 2026. President Karen Cathelyn called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm. Members in attendance were Salley Eberhardt, Lee Fluck, and Monica Vorac. Tom Domino, Jim Henson, and Jan Klavohn were absent.

None present.
Secretary’s Report
The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed.
Financial Report/Bills to be Paid
Motion to pay the current bills by Sally Eberhardt, seconded by Lee Fluck. All members in attendance voted “yes” to pay the current bills. Motion to approve the Financial Report made by Monica Vorac, seconded by Karen Cathelyn. All members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote.
Happenings at the Library
Library Week was a huge success; there were lots of kids and prizes. The Grand Prize Adult Winner was posted on Facebook along with other winners. The Furnace and Storage Rooms have been cleaned out. Kathi was awarded four grants; one of which was for $15,000 and was picked over 5,100 applications.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Bids
The Board rejected the bids and asked Pat Mahar to re-bid the project.
NEW BUSINESS
Wirth
Wirth Plumbing and Heating will begin its maintenance contract July 1. TMI will make one final maintenance call in June.

With no further business before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 7:18 pm.
