Geneseo Public Library District
Board of Trustees Meeting
January 9, 2023

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, January 9, 2023. Board President Karen Turner called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Members in attendance were Lee Fluck, Carol Luciani and Paul Pardo.

Citizen’s Input  No citizens were present.

Secretary’s Report  The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed.

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid  Paul made a motion to pay the current bills. Carol seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote. Paul moved to approve the Financial Report. Carol seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote.

Happenings at the Library  A $50 donation was received from Leeroy and Rita Phyfe and a $100 donation was received in memory of Joni Beck by Bob and Ginny Nash.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Bookends  Are not finished yet.

Curb  The curb(s) will be cut in the spring.

NEW BUSINESS

Freedom Bus  During the last week in August, the bus will be in the Library’s parking lot for school students and the public. It teaches tolerance of others by showing videos and presentations about other races and religions.

Audit  Is completed and copies are available at the front desk.

Building   Currently there are no building projects in the works. A Reading Garden is a multi-year plan for the future.

Adjournment  With no further business before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
