Board of Trustees Meeting
April 13, 2026

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in the Foundation Room at the library on Monday, April 13, 2026. President Karen Cathelyn called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Members in attendance were Tom Domino, Sally Eberhardt, Lee Fluck, Jim Henson, and Monica Vorac. Jan Klavohn was absent.

Secretary’s Report

The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed.

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid

Motion to pay the current bills made by Monica Vorac, seconded by Jim Henson. All members in attendance voted “yes” to pay the current bills. Motion to approve the Financial Report made by Tom Domino, seconded by Sally Eberhardt.

Motion to accept the bid from Wirth Plumbing & Heating for boiler maintenance at $1,650/month by Karen Cathelyn, seconded by Lee Fluck. All members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote.

Motion to pay the bill to Creative Curb for footing work in the Reading Garden by Monica Vorac, seconded by Sally Eberhardt. All members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote.

Sheilah Wigant-McGee brought a replica of the book-like stools she is making for the Reading Garden.

Happenings at the Library

Claire provided board members with the statistics for 2025-2026 from RAILS. Each item checked out is approximately $22.06. Quad City Wildflowers came and measured the Reading Garden. Claire is taking the staff out for breakfast on Wednesday for Library Week. The board’s Christmas is set for September 20.
