The Henry County Health Department, First Choice Healthcare and the Geneseo Public Library are holding a special Geneseo Fall Health Clinic on Thursday, October 23 at the library from 9:30-11:30 am. The clinic is open to all people ages 18 years and older.
In keeping with the Health Department’s mission of promoting healthier living, this clinic will feature free flu shots for those with Medicare or insurance coverage. Proof of coverage in the form of a Medicare or insurance card ensures the “no cost” shots. For those without coverage, the cost is $60.
The Health Department urges everyone six months of age and older to get vaccinated against the flu this year. People at high risk of serious flu complications are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated. Those people include small children, pregnant women, people with chronic health problems such as asthma, diabetes, heart and lung disease, health care workers, and those 65 years of age and older.
In addition, the clinic will offer the following health screenings free of charge:
In addition to the health screenings, the clinic will feature a variety of health information and free giveaways.
Bring your insurance card or Medicare card and stop in at the library on Thursday, October 23 from 9:30 to 11:30 am.
