Geneseo Public Library is a FamilySearch affiliate. The new designation means library patrons will have greater and more convenient access to the wealth of genealogical resources available through FamilySearch. There is a nominal fee of $7.50 to order microfilm. Once the film arrives, patrons use the microfilm readers here at the library to peruse it. Patrons can search the Family History Library Catalog online at to see what records FamilySearch has available to order through the library.

Cost for Obituary Look Up and mailing/emailing from the Geneseo Public Library District microfilms : $1.00 per obituary, other donations gladly accepted. For more extensive research contact our Historian at  She will contact you and other cost will be explained.
